On Saturday, March 25th (#BlackBiBeauty Day), Center for Culture, Sexuality, and Spirituality (CCSS) in association with Bisexual Resource Center and FluidBiDesign hosted a teach-in and Twitter town hall focused on Black bi+ (e.g., bisexual, sexually fluid, and non-monosexual) health. The event was a part of Bisexual Health Awareness Month (March) and Black Bi Beauty Day.
The contributing authors of the recent book Black LGBT Health in the United States: The Intersection of Race, Gender, and Sexual Orientation (Lexington Books) provided important analysis, critique, and commentary on the state of Black bisexual health, particularly related to social health and the nature of the relationship between personal health and the community/environment.
